The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favourites draws upon the magic of black light and fluorescent puppet creations to capture the charm of three favorite Eric Carle stories. A Very Hungry Caterpillar encounters wonderful adventures as he progresses through an amazing variety of foods towards his eventual metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly. A Little Cloud slips away from its parent clouds and turns itself into a series of wonderful forms - a sheep, an airplane, a hat, a clown - before rejoining the other clouds as they perform their real function: making rain. A bored, Mixed-Up Chameleon wishes it could be more like other animals, but after an adventurous trip to the zoo, where it changes into different animals, it decides it's best to just be oneself. On tour continuously since 1999, this show has generated sizable audiences and earned praise from critics on several continents.
NOTE: The Field Museum is a big place, so it can be hard to find where we're performing. The production is on the upper level in the Northwest corner of the museum. Look for a big banner advertising the show in the main hall, and walk up the stairs near it. From there, the show should be easy to find. Seating for this production is general admission, and a portion of the audience will be seated in "story-time" format on the floor.

Soft-packaged foods cannot be accepted. Those who donate will be entered to win a special “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” themed gift basket.
