Original puppets and music tell the story of a grumpy old giant who forbids the children in his village from playing in his beautiful garden. After the children are locked out, the trees and flowers refuse to grow and the garden plunges into an eternal winter. Then one morning, the children sneak back into the garden, bringing with them the joyous rebirth of spring.

Blair Thomas
Blair Thomas is founder of Fast Fish Puppet Theater and Blair Thomas & Company, a nationally touring puppetry company last seen in Chicago with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and at the Museum of Contemporary Art. He created puppets for The Snow Queen, now in its second year at Victory Gardens. Blair has served as curator for Chicago's International Puppet Festival, and as Jim Henson Artist-in-Residence at the University of Maryland. He is co-founder of Redmoon Theater, where he spent a decade leading a vision to create large-scale spectacle theater. Click here to see photos of Blair's puppet workshop.
