Geoffrey M. Curley
Curley has designed scenery, lights and costumes for numerous theatre companies in the Chicago area including Chicago Children's Theatre, The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Lookingglass, Court Theatre, About Face Theatre (Artistic Associate), Chicago Shakespeare, Writer's Theatre, Northlight, Fox Theatricals, Milwaukee Rep (Honorary Company Member), as well as others. Curley's theatrical designs have been seen throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. He has designed for feature film as well as commercial photography. Curley has been an adjunct professor at DePaul University from 2000-2004. For three years, he was the artistic director of Roadworks Production where he introduced to Chicago works by Michael Blieden, Richard Greenberg, David Mamet, Amy and David Sedaris among others. Curley has been honored with four Jeff Nominations and one Jeff Award as well as two After Dark Awards including the 1999 After Dark Award for Outstanding Season. With Chicago Children's Theatre, he was the Associate Artistic Director for over two years and was honored with designing the company's first two shows, A Year With Frog and Toad and Dandelion Wine. Curley is currently the of Manager of Temporary Exhibits and Events at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
