June 9, 2006

The Chicago Children's Theatre has announced its first full season of three shows, slated for a variety of venues around the city. The year kicks off with Ray Bradbury's adaptation of his novel "Dandelion Wine" (Nov. 9 to Dec. 31) to be directed by Eric Rosen at the Steppenwolf Upstairs Theatre. In January, CCT will present the Dutch company ISH in a multidisciplinary piece called "4-ISH" aiming to combine the thrill of extreme sports with dance, kung-fu and hip-hop. The expansive show will take place Jan. 19-28 at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. Next summer, Sean Graney will direct for CCT "Honus and Me," the tale of a young baseball fanatic who stumbles upon the most valuable baseball card of all time. Steven Dietz's dramatic adaptation of the book by Dan Gutman plays in the Goodman Theatre's Owen Theatre from July 20 to Aug. 26, 2007.
