A PLAY AT THE FIELD
Children's Theatre finds room for its 'Giant'
The Chicago Children's Theatre, which performs at various venues depending on the nature of its show, will stage the first production of its 2008 season at the Field Museum. "The Selfish Giant," based on Oscar Wilde's story about a mean creature whose garden withers after he forbids children to play in it, is being created and directed by master puppeteer Blair Thomas and the Fast Fish Puppet Theater, with a score by Michael Smith ("The Snow Queen"). It will run Jan. 26-March 9. For tickets, call (312) 665-7400.
