Casting Information
Chicago Children's Theatre is a non-profit, professional theatre based in Chicago. Although our productions are geared toward young audiences, they are cast with professional adult actors based in the Chicago area.
Chicago Children's Theatre is always looking for talent to cast in our future productions and we encourage performers to contact us. Our auditions are held on a show to show basis and are by invitation only. Chicago Children's Theatre will hold Equity and Non-Equity General Auditions annually. Please read through the guidelines below before contacting us about an audition.
Equity General Auditions will take place each spring through the Actor's Equity Association. Please contact the Equity Office to gain further information or to schedule an appointment. Chicago Children's Theatre does not schedule appointments for these auditions.
Non-Equity General Auditions will take place annually, and will be organized by Chicago Children's Theatre. Performers can request an audition by sending a resume, headshot, and self addressed stamped envelope to our administrative office (ATTN: "Casting Department"). Those scheduled for an audition will be contacted. If you are not contacted for an audition, please resubmit your materials for the following year. Please do not call or e-mail Chicago Children's Theatre to schedule an audition.
