What a wonderful show! Can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed it! 11yr old grandson became part of the interaction; 14yr old granddaughter (too cool for this type of show, in her opinion) admitted it was good. We all understood the life lesson .. do what is right. Thank you.

As a dad with a 7-year-old son, this was the perfect show. It was fun, smart, well directed, acted, written and just the right length to keep my 7-year-old (and me) interested. The message was great, the set was great. Come early and bring your mitts. The cast plays 'catch' with the audience. This is a gem of a show and I sure hope that at some time in the future the Chicago Children's Theater brings it back. They should also consider going on the road with the show.

Your performance of Honus & Me was extraordinary. The plot line itself stayed true to the book. For example, in the book, Joey was always relatively bad at baseball, how Honus let Joey bat for him due to injury and how Ms. Young loved Honus. Your actors performed spectacularly. For instance, José Antonio García ( Birdie ) performed with much enthusiasm and energy which made him fun to watch. Tim Rock ( Joey Stoshack ) is an extraordinary actor and puts a lot of effort into what he does. My favorite part of Birdie's was when he saw Joey's card and started trying to do everything he could to get his hands on it. My favorite part of Joey's was when he reacted to Honus' comment about how skinny the All-Time home run hitter was. Another of my favorite actors was Eric Slater ( Honus. ) He was very good at being naive to the world around him. I also thought the set and they way the actors used it was very good. I liked how there were bleachers, advertisements, overhead lights and ivy to make it look realistic and like you are actually sitting in a ballpark. The way the set was shaped like a baseball diamond was also nice. I thought that how the actors were waiting in the bleachers to change the set was fun as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this to all ages because the humor is for people from 7 to 70!
