The Go, Dog. Go! tent is up!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Go, Dog. Go! tent is UP! We are extremely excited about this. Next time you are driving on Lake Shore Dive, look West as you pass Jackson and Monroe. See that big yellow tent in Grant Park? That's us!

The tent raising process went very smoothly. First the four support poles were laid out on the ground, and secured using three-foot spikes. The poles were then raised using cables and chain motors. Once they were up, the center ring was put in place. The canvas cone was affixed to the center support ring, and then the primary big top canvas was attached to that ring. Using chain motors inside the four support poles, the center ring was then raised very slowly, as workers set up smaller perimeter support poles. More three-foot spikes secure those poles. Now that the canvas tent walls are installed, we're ready to install seating and start building the set!

The Chicago Children's Theatre Big Top Tent was featured on WGN News and CLTV, and everyone walking through Grant Park was interested in what was going on. We're excited to spread the word about the great show that will take place in the tent, so be sure to tell your friends!

I live at 151 N Michigan and had a great view of the tent raising. It looks like a mini Cirque du Soleil tent going up. I am looking forward to watching events progress.

Beautiful tent. Great Location. Best of success to you all.
