Dandelion Wine was visually and emotionally stunning. It not only challenged the audience (children and adults alike), but it reached a depth that is rarely seen in children's theatre. As someone whose seen a lot of children's theatre, it is refreshing to see a play that doesn't pander to a child's innocence, which only underserves and insults a child's intelligence.

This show was one of the greatest plays that I have seen. Sometimes the play was frightening but fright is a great way to keep and audience on the edge of their seat. Also, having the actors come on to the stage from the seats in the audience made you feel like you were part of the play yourself. The acting was wonderfull and many times I found my self singing a song along with the actors.

The production was absolutely terrific. The older children in our group were taken with the play and the imaginative way that you brought the slide elements into each scene. The acting was superb. To the adults in our group, we all commented that the story talked to children and adults at their level. At no time did the production talk down to children. I have never experienced such and intelligent and sophisticated production aimed at children. Congratulations on your success. If this is what we can expect from CCT, you will be here a good long time.

Fortunately, I was able to see this this weekend and was quite impressed with the production quality of this. The story line is fairly complex and will certainly challenge some younger minds. I will certainly echo the visual stimulation that others have noted - well done!

i thought the performance was well done, great staging. however, i thought the subject matter was very inappropriate for an 8 year old: the spooky man creeping around while kids are sleeping; the allusion to suicide; the whole eerie staging. when a children's theatre writes a suggested age, parents trust their recommendation. i felt betrayed by your organization.

Acting was phenomenal, however play was completely inappropriate for an 8 year old, which is the age of my daughter. This play is best for 12-15 age group. I read age recommendations so I feel I was somewhat tricked into going. Waist of time and money. Play was boring for me personally, even though I usually enjoy children's plays. The setting was disturbing and frightening. Luckily, my daughter did not understand anything, so she was not scared. I was worried that she would have bad dreams.

Just wanted to say how much my daughter and I enjoyed your performance of Dandelion Wine on Saturday afternoon. Although parts of it may have been over her head,(she is seven) afterward my daughter told me LOVED it, and she was sure this was the 'best day of her life'. I will definitely be singing your praises to friends and family. Thank you!

I brought my almost 7 year-old to the play. Having read the book ahead of time I have to say I too was concerned about his readiness for the material. I took the chance and the result was a kid lurching forward in his seat to take in everything. He didn't fully understand it all but once explained he said, 'That makes me sad.' Then after a pause said 'Can I see it again?' I'd say he's ready. For myself, I thought the production beautifully done although I would love to have seen more of the Father character. I believe his name was Matt.

We recently attended Dandelion Wine and thought it marvelous - very clever & sophisticated for kids. I'm sure many good discussions followed. Everyone around us loved this play - especially the kids.

I thought that Dandelion Wine was good, I especially enjoyed the singing. It was confusing though because lots of things were unanswered like what happened to Anne Barclay? and the 'Lonely One.'

I have seen the play twice now and each time it has sent tears down my cheeks. It hits a part of me deep inside. Ray Bradbury has always been one of my favorite writers and with this production of his story it only increases my fondness of his work. What a wonderful holiday show to every age.

We so enjoyed the performance; it promoted a very rich discussion about “our past selves” and “letting things go”. The play was just really lovely and all thoroughly loved it. I also appreciate your customer service; you really made us feel welcome and made our outing very, very positive. We’ll come back!
